Day 4: Republic to Colville

Another day, another pass.  We started out at a steady climb toward Sherman Pass about 18 miles away.  Beautiful mountains, lots of shade from Ponderosa Pine; Hana was on the lookout for moose or bear.  The temperature was lovely, high 70s, nice breeze.  We climbed and climbed and climbed.  I think we are ok with not climbing a pass tomorrow.  The descent down to Kettle Falls was steep and fast, but also long.  There were two killer hills left before we got to KF for lunch, those were not fun.  After Kettle Falls we rode through beautiful country to Colville, but we were on a very busy section of Rt 20, bucking a scorching headwind.  By the time we got to town it was 100 again.

Hana being arty before we left this morning.
