Day 6: Ione to Sand Point, ID

Today was a long ride from Ione to Sand Point.  We left Ione at 7am and headed south following the Pend Orielle River all day.  We left Hwy 2 and used small country roads, flat or rolling (no passes!).  There were tons of fantastic river views and lots of cool barns, too many to capture.

We crossed the Kalispel Indian Reservation during the morning ride

Crossed into Idaho in Newport

There were so many cool barns on this ride, Momma Mast would have gone nuts over them. Hana wanted to take a picture of all of them but (ironically) I think we missed pictures of the best ones

Today's ride was full of great smells: fresh cut grass hay, mustard seed, alfalfa, warm pine and fir trees, lake water, dusty fields... you get the picture!

So gorgeous. Love love following along...yes, the kind of countryside I love. Pretty enough to repeat ?!
